Stand alone. Set in a different time, different place and is altogether different

I've never played the original so can't really compare the two. I've only played fallout 3 so far & thought that was amazing

Agree Fallout 3 was awesome. I'm just more of a sword and sorcery nut so preferred Elder Scrolls :)

When the hell are they gonna release a follow up to that is what I wanna know!

I believe Elder Scrolls 5 is due for release next year

Ah, I'll probably get oblivion at some point. Sounds really good. If I don't get the current one then the next one is on my radar.

You'd love it mate, right up your street gamewise. I couldn't say that I prefer Oblivion to Fallout 3 but I like it probably just as much. Fallout is much slicker but the playability is neck and neck on them so I just couldn't say.............

I am going to have to play a bit of Fallout before the new one comes out, just to wet my appetite really. I reckon I can get a week or two out of Splinter Cell then I'll have a week and a bit re-mastering the controls before I sign over the rest of my life to Bethesda!!
