Abramovich took over the club a whole year before Jose arrived. Mourinho was appointed by Abramovich to take over from Ranieri. Jose inherited a more than decent side from Ranieri. One which had finished second the previous season I think. Jose got a side which was easily capable of winning the title from Ranieri & he did so. Everything was fine with winning but abramovich wanted more than just titles. He wanted fantasy football. Barcelona type attacking football, entertaining football, but Jose is more of a defensive manager. All of his teams have been built on solid defense & have never been the most entertaining of sides. When he wouldn't change his winning style of play Abramovich wasn't happy. Add to that the fact that Chelsea brought in players which Jose didn't want such as Shevchenko & Ballack, and the end was always going to be near.

Grant took over the reigns from Jose after being at the club as a director of football (I think). The deal was that Grant would take over team affairs for the remainder of the season because Big Phil Scolari wasn't available until the end of the season & that is the manager Abramovich wanted. Grant did a sterling Job but his name wasn't big enough in European Football for Abramovich. The Blin Bling at Chelsea had to have Big name managers, not good managers who no one really knows about...... So after everything Grant did he wasn't offered a longer term contract. Facts are Grant wasn't sacked, he just wasn't offered the job on a longer term basis because chelsea had already chosen their man.......

Grants a great manager & had he stayed at Chelsea I'm sure they'd have a Champions League Winners Medal by now. Liverpool should do all they can to tempt him to Anfield. he would certainly bring success........

A buyer will come in quickly. I can't see LFC being up for sale for too long without someone stepping in to buy it. Hell, if I had the money & knowhow I'd buy it!

Grant would takeover the moment he was asked & he would make Liverpool a dangerous force again, both domestically & in Europe.

I hope no official LFC people are reading this. I may just have given them an idea Think I'll go put a fiver on Grant becoming Liverpools next manager

£800 Million? For what? Real Madrid is worth £860Million. How is Liverpool worth just £60Million less?

A win on Sunday would've gone a long way to restoring a bit of pride for Liverpool, but St Stevie's woeful shambolic joke of a performance just makes it seem that Liverpool are on the short road to oblivion.......

Shocking! The club is in such turmoil that the players can't even be bothered to put in the shift they're being paid for. Can't be arsed to turn up & regain some respect. Blackburn have nothing to play for but they at least play for the pride of winning or at least not losing.

Liverpool FC would be best off shutting up shop & starting again from scratch......

Sooner rather than later I hope. One thing I used to like about Liverpool apart from their slick passing game was that they never liked losing & would play out of their skins to try to stop that from happening. Seems those days are long gone & all that's left is a bunch of overpaid, underperforming, overrated, pampered sissy boys.
