Ok I have no defence on the minecraft thing except to say that I got hooked whilst I was high and I can't get off it. I'm going to get help but right now I can handle it, I just build to take the edge off, it's fine.

Galactic Civ? Is that Sid Meier style Civ?

There is no defence at all against minecraft and I'm glad you see that. Getting hooked on building when you're high?? At least do it on Fallout 4. Get off that low grade high!

Yeah, sort of, but it's not Sid doing this one. I'd say grab the ultimate edition of Gal civ 2 and see if it's your thing. If you're doing it on PC, wait for a steam sale and you can nab it for about a fiver.

Are you enjoying the settlement building on Fallout 4? I found the whole system clunky and awkward. I did it for the achievements but stopped after that.

I'm on Xbox One these days so no steam for me, is it available on a proper gaming device?

Enjoying it? I'm loving it!!! It's why I'm at lvl 120. I've downloaded some epic mods which have made it a lot fun, though I can understand the "Clunky and Awkward" comment. I would probably describe it as frustrating and fiddly. You should have a look at some of the mods which were created by real gamers on real true kick ass powerful gaming rigs...... and then ported to weak ass consoles......

Xbox One...... Yeah, that's a proper gaming device. So cute..... Think Gal civ is a little complex for console. It's really more a mouse & keyboard 4x game. Not really suited for console just yet..... Unless it's maybe a Steam box....

Fallout Shelter (Android/iOS) is pretty decent as far as mobile games go. If you haven't got it then it might be worth a look. There are microtransactions in the game but you really don't need to pay anything at all to enjoy it.

Star Wars: Commander (Android/iOS/Windows) I'm a little too hooked on this. Easiest way to explain it. clash of clans with a Star Wars overlay. I'm part of a nice little squad on there. If you're playing it, let me know & I'll tell you the squad if you wanna join. If you're not playng it then start playing it!!!

I had assumed that settlement building was better on PC, it feels more like a mouse based concept, you just can't guide it well with a controller

Mobile games I have been missing a lot recently, just haven't taken the time to do any.
I did want to start fallout shelter but just haven't got round to it. Star Wars games are always a must try for me so I'll get in that one soon

Yeah, I'm getting a liquid cooled PC next time round. The fans can kick in quite heavily on my lappy when she's under heavy load, though nothing like the hovercraft engine of consoles.

As for settlement building on PC, I use a Playstation or Xbox controller. Haven't played it with a mouse and keyboard yet. Windows (And especially windows 10) has native support for all xbox controllers (Cheers microsoft) & also native support for the PS4 controller. PS3 controller is easy enough to configure for use as well. It's the community mods which upgrade the experience really.

Fallout shelter is certainly worth your time if you're a fallout fan. One of the great things about it is that it doesn't require massive chunks of your time to play and it's playable offline to boot.
And Star Wars commander, just get it. get it now...... Why are you still reading?? App store..... Play Store...... You should be on one of those now........ Type in Star Wars.... Yep.. it's the commander one..... Install....... Do it...... Do it...... oh.... join the darkside...... Muhahahahaha!!!! Do I have to give you a pear??
