Sparks Gone
Manchester City parted ways with Manager Mark Hughes on Saturday.
Now, I'm no Man $hitty, sorry, City fan but I am a football fan & this sacking seems bad for the English game. Fair enough, after spending £250million or something in that region, some could expect them to be sitting on top of the league. Real football followers however, will know it's not that simple. With so many players coming in it was always going to take at least a season to Gel.
The target given was a top 6 finish. City are currently 6th with a game in hand over 4 of the 5 teams above them.
They have also lost only 2 games in the league this season. Current champs Utd & Chelsea have lost more than that....
And the man brought in to replace him (Mancini) was apparently offered the job a couple of weeks ago.
Do you think City were right to let Hughes go? Or was it shoddy treatment of a Good guy?

Re: Sparks Gone
He had been there about 18 months & was there before the new owners took over. The common belief is that the owners wanted to get their own man in (Mancini was third choice behind Mourinho & Hiddink).
But they agreed to give Hughes a chance & it's not like they were in freefall.....

Freefall as in losing loads of games & falling down the league. A bit like Loserpool.... Sorry, Liverpool
