I'm using that exclusively now as well with Jiangwei's Shocksword as my backup & the Alien Blaster for the really Big uns Unfortunately, the safe where "NovaSurge" is located can only be unlocked using a specfic Hard locked terminal. No lockpicking allowed & you only get the one chance to grab it. On the upside, you can always go without it & just pick up some other alien tech, Like their other Guns Oooh! And the Captains Sidearm. Think Alien Blaster which fires like a shotgun Plus the xeno Tech Expert perk & the vast amounts of Alien Epoxy which can be used to fully repair ALL weapons regardless of repair skill. Also there's the Cryo Grenades & Cryo Mines to go with a few unique items of clothing & a samurai sword By the way, apart from the unique items, there is a "limitless" supply of all the other stuff.....

No, didn't have some chick telling me what to do. Just sort of made a move before fully understanding what that move would entail.......

Forget focusing on Repair. You can pick up skill books to up that stat. Get your science high as this makes the Computers SOO much easier to hack and also helps in other missions.....

Ok I want some fun side missions to play with over the next couple of days, what can I find out in the wastes that I wouldn't come across naturally in the course of the game? I discovered Eden the other day, that was a weird one

You could always go hunting for Uncle Leo. Or complete "The Bigger they Are" By hunting down & destroying all 5 Super Mutant Behemoths... Mmmmm.... I'll think something up I'm sure...

Uncle Leo is just a friendly super mutant. I heard of him & spent forever trying to find him. I don't think anything special happens except a little conversation Just gives you something to do as he seems to appear randomly.

Did you complete agatha's song yet? That one can get interesting if you do the whole thing. Also get's you a unique Magnum, access to her radio station & a nice little cutscene at the end of the game.......

Failing that, what I do when I can't think of anything else to do is go bobblehead hunting. Can get pretty tough......

I was rocking through them last night then I got to one that I couldn't get cause it was in Colnel Autumns room and I've destroyed Raven Rock. I don't have any saves from back that far so I can't even get it without starting the whole game again and going through the story till I meet the president But that means I'd have to start hunting again and I've nearly got them all!

Oh man. I rememer going bobblehead hunting after having escaped from Raven Rock, Completing "Trouble on the Home Front" & blowing up Megaton. Missed three bobbleheads because of that

One tough decision is when to go for which bobblehead As they increase your ability do you go for them early & get the extra boost then or go for them later & max out with them

I'd hoped it was one I could just come back to to max up but I guess you need to do a bit of both. Would help getting all the S.P.E.C.I.A.L ones early one I guess.

Ok I'm going for bobbleheads, that does mean I'll have to start again and walk to every location. Might head for Rivet city and get the plasma rifle straight off. How early on can you get power armour?

Power armour depends. You'll either have to wait until you get access to The Citadel & receive power armour training. Alternatively, if you have the DLC Operation: Anchorage installed then you just need to complete that & you'll be able to wear power armour.

I'd go for option 2 to be honest as you can complete it at any time (It's pretty quick & easy especially on lower levels) and you also get the added bonus of wiping out an Outcast cell, Stocking up on LOADS of high tech weaponry & ammo and of course, the greatest reason, grabbing the Winterized T-51b Power Armour which is pretty much indestructible. You can get a few other perks as well, not to mention Jagwei's Shock Sword.......

Not to mention the Gauss Rifle What do you repair it with though?
