What on earth is going on in this country?? Daily politics is fast becoming a spectator sport! Bye bye Andrea, I guess it's Teresa for the top spot.

In other news the opposition continues to make a mockery of democracy

May as PM and Hammond as chancellor? Makes you wonder what Clarkson is up to now.

Today was a brutal shake down though, heads rolling everywhere and Boris as foreign secretary?? Politics has never been as exciting as it is right now

Brilliant!! I love it!

I think it needed to be a bit brutal. She needed to put her own stamp on things quickly. It's her cabinet now. I think she'll do alright. Boris as foreign sec is the most brilliant thing to happen in UK politics since Nicola Sturgeon. Next few years are gonna be funny as can be. Just a question of funny "ha ha" or funny "that's not funny".......

I think you're right, to really make the job her own she had to clear out the cabinet and take charge. We have entered into an insane time of uncertainty and it's good to see someone taking the bull by the horns.
I have to say I'm appalled at the rebellion in the Labour Party though. What a bunch of back stabbing snakes to be attacking that poor dear old fella. It also feels like with that much party support for Corbyn they are all commuting career suicide if the gambles don't pay off.
I think Corbyn has done a respectable job since his appointment, he's stayed on the subject in hand and left the pettiness to other politicians. It's that kind of behaviour that sets an example we can all respond to. Decency and respectability isn't something you see in Politics any more and I'd be happy to see more of it

Oh wow! And so it begins. I thought Boris would be first to make an idiotic comment but I backed the wrong horse this time. Here we go, Ladies & Gentlemen, Environment minister Andrea Leadsom: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3691619/Andrea-Leadsom-claims-cautious-sensible-not-appoint-men-nannies-case-turn-paedophiles.html

Oh my, I don't think this needs much commenting on as it kind of speaks for itself. Men are already sadly lacking as role models for kids in so many situations, particularly primary school teachers. Now we're making them feel like they just shouldn't bother pursuing a career in child care?! There is harmless stupidity, the likes of Boris, then there is the toxic kind and that is much more dangerous

Even now, all I can say is Wow..... Just wow. Any money say's that if something like this was said about a woman by a male minister then he would be out of government in a heartbeat.
