Bugger me!! The budget must have been astronomical to get that many big names in, probably didn't leave a lot left over for special effects Laughing

The Expendables Empty Re: The Expendables

Seen this one too and below is my review:

This REALLY Didn't disappoint cheers
Story Line? Crap. NR
Acting? No awards for this effort NR NR NR
Soppy Love Sub Plot? Yep NR NR
Dashing of Comedy? What action flick is complete without it? NR NR NR NR NR
Big Guns? HELL YEAH!!!! NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR
Big Explosions? HELL YEAH!!! NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR
Solid Cast? Oh Please! Rolling Eyes Cast was solid as Fort Knox guarded by The Silver Surfer & Optimus Prime on steroids! NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR

This film had stuff blowing up that didn't need to be blown up! From the start until the very end it was almost wall to wall explosions & gun fire. Trees? Blown to shit! Boats? Blown to shit! Planes trains & automobiles? Blown to shit!!! The story is pretty weak, the acting is okay at best, but this is an action flick! Not some soppy lovey dovey teenage emo crap or an intense drama so it doesn't require a solid story line or amazing acting ability. It just requires a massive dose of explosions and BIG guns and boy, it delivered like a Swiss-Japanese parcel delivery service! Bang on the money with a little extra. By the time it got to the last 5 minutes of the film I didn't think that they could possible make anything else explode without the help of a deep space meteor or a warhead 100 times that of the one which fell on Hiroshima, but they found a way!
If you want a film which has a good story & will keep you glued to see what will happen next then avoid this at all costs.
If you want a film where stuff is blown up then this is your wet dream! Drool

Overall NR Rating: NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR (8 out of 10)

It has nothing going for it except the cast & the fact that there are Big Guns & Big explosions. But that's all I wanted from this film! Well done Sly LP

WARNING!!!

ONLY Watch this at home if you have a decent Sound System & a Decent TV. Most importantly, you'll require a sub woofer of epic propotions. Terry Crews has a "Friend" who won't really be complete without it.

Definately a Big Screen, Big Speakers, Warn The Neighbours type film.

Seen it :)

There are DVD rip torrents doing the rounds at the moment. Not a bad film actually. Lots of action and big explosions :)
