I agree with you entirely with the pens .. but the game play is more realistic ... i will play a lot offline first to get used to it ...

Re: Fifa 11
I SOoooooooooooo can't wait for this Only downside is the return of the dreaded "Handballs" Lets just hope they've got it right this time round because the last time the handball feature made an appearence it was a total shambles & actually made the game a much less enjoyable experience.
On the plus side, I should be ready to sign for an On-line club this season If you see a midfielder by the name of N.Ryder (No. 21 or 28) then that's probably me or if we can find enough people interested maybe we could create a Frog N Bones team & enter the league.

I think the first compatibility issue we'd need to get around is ball type, Rugger Bugger

Re: Fifa 11
GOT IT!!!!!!!
Oh Yeah baby! This game is great! I've been playing this until stupid o'clock this morning & even had to put it on again before work. The feel is pretty much the same as FIFA 10 with the expected tweaks to shooting & Passing. The penalties were actually a lot more simple than many people were letting on. I had the hang of it within just a few tries. Free kicks are a lot harder this time round though as the shooting system now means that you shoot first & decide were you want the ball to go second Once I get the hang of it I don't think it will be too much of a problem though.
One thing I wasn't expecting was the opportunity to have a full 11 vs 11 game Believe it or not in this installment you can even be a goalkeeper! As a former budding goalie when I was a kid this has been a lovely addition. Admittedly, getting to grips with playing as the keeper is a bit tricky but I get the feeling that once I master it I'll feel very satisfied. So look out for N.Ryder as a midfielder or as a Goalkeeper. Keeping a clean sheet will be tough, but I'll be trying to do just that.
All in all, my first impressions of the game are good. They've kept all the good stuff from FIFA 10 & built on it a little, but that's what you come to expect from the latest FIFA games, just like you come to expect good commentary and awesome soundtracks on which they have delivered on both.
Provisional NR Rating (7 / 10 )
Solid effort. I can see this rating going up once I get into the game proper & take it online

Hmmmm
Maybe I should give the Fifa franchise another go. I used to swear by Fifa but then was converted when PES 2008 was released. Haven't found a better footy game since that and it still takes up most of my Friday nite Xbox time with my mates...
Together with Fight Night of course :)

Re: Fifa 11
Many PES players would say the same about the FIFA Franchise (Actually, many have already )
Personally, I think both are very good with FIFA just edging it for me. The Gameplay on both is very good & graphics on both are very good so it's a case of eah to their own I guess.........
Though, once again, FIFA on a PS3 is FAR superior to PES on an X-Box.....

Of course you can. You're question was "Who the frig owns a PS3 these days?" Not sure that really counts as an opinion.
And it being a superior console is a fact

You wish! No, not just my opinion. In the opinion of anyone who knows anything about these things & can easily be proven. Bottom line is the Playstation 3 is superior to the X-Box as both a a gaming console & media console.
Just accept it
