Time For Tech?

So, once again there has been a goal allowed which never was & a goal disallowed which actually was (I’m sure both these have happened somewhere over the past couple of days ) & footballs international governing body has said No to “Hawkeye” technology to help officials saying something on the lines of "Human error is what makes it exciting".

Do you think it's time Football introduced "Hawkeye" Technology?

What are your arguments for or against the use of cameras & instant action replays to help with the big calls?

Fair enough, but consider that instant TV replays are available less than 3 seconds after an incident.......

What if the technology was only mandatory for Goals and mangers were allowed a certain amount of "Decision Challenges" in a game? A small number like 3 per manager per game? That would keep the game flowing & make managers a little more cautious in using their challenge allowances wisely......

I don't think the game would need to be stopped for long as the fourth official & many dugouts get the instant replay of a decision within about 3 seconds at the moment. It would just take a quick word from the fourth official over the radio to assist the Ref during the game.

I love disputes over whether the ref was right or wrong & these could still happen as not all decisions would rely on replays. If we're honest, we already have the comfort of seeing the incident over & over again on TV even in super slow motion & from every camera angle, yet the debate still rages as to whether the ref was correct or incorrect in his decision..........

Teams like Ireland could've benefited from such Technology....... Aston Villa too.......
