No Brazil? Empty No Brazil?

Looks like Brazil's World Cup place is currently at threat. Apparently a case involving Midfield player Bruno Cazarine Constantino could end up costing the Brazilian National Team their place at SAF 2010 as he has played for three different clubs in one season.

FIFA rules clearly state that a player cannot play for more than 2 clubs per season. The Brazilian FA failed to act against Constantino's current club, Guarani, when a complaint was lodged by rival team Portuguesa about the breach of FIFA rules. Portuguesa have now taken their case directly to FIFA & FIFA rules state that any member association which does not correctly punish a club which has broken FIFA rules will have its national team suspended from playing in the next official tournament.

Do you think FIFA will have the balls to go ahead & ban Brazil from the upcoming world cup or do you think they will find a loophole which would allow them to play?

Would you be upset at the prospect of a World Cup without Brazil? Would the World Cup be devalued without a team of Brazil's calibre?

Hence the "Apperently" at the beginning........

Also, he played for 3 different clubs in 2009 ( http://en.sambafoot.com/players/4415_Bruno_Cazarine.html )

And FIFA rules do state that no player can play for more than 2 clubs in a season and the punishment for a national FA not providing the right punishment is also clearly highlighted within their rules. ( www.fifa.com ) Wink LP
